Aug 11, 2013

Join Rabbi Korngold for a day of rigorous hiking through awe inspiring wildflowers complemented by contemplative conversation.

We will hike, learn, and hike some more. (Mostly hike though!)

HIKE #1
Wednesday, June 19, 2013
: Join Rabbi Jamie for a hike along the Mesa trail. We will drop a vehicle at NCAR and then drive over to the Eldorado trailhead and hike back. The hike has lots of gradual up and downs, but nothing extreme so we will be able to move at a fairly good clip. This hike is designed for people who are in shape and enjoy long stretches outside.

When: Aug 11, 2013
We will meet in Boulder at 9 am at a location to be disclosed when you sign up. The hike usually takes 3 hours, so with rest-stops we should be back by 1pm ish.

Suggested equipment: Plenty of water, lunch & snacks, sunscreen, rain gear, warm layers (check the forecast), comfortable hiking boots.

Fee: free for members, all others $22 per hike or (Late fee of + $5/hike, begins 7 days before before the hike)

HIKES #2 AND #3
Wednesday July 17, 2013 and
Sunday, Aug 11, 2013
: (These are different hikes but share the same description.) Join Jeanette Domber and Rabbi Jamie for another fabulous wilderness adventure. Although we have not yet decided which trailhead, we promise fun and adventure somewhere up high. Where we go depends on the weather patterns we hit in August. But these hikes tend to be at altitude, 6-10 miles, at a relatively quick pace. Designing for experienced hikers, although you need not be a mountaineering super-pro, just someone who is in shape and enjoys long stretches outside and can move at a not super slow pace.

What: 6-10 miles at altitude. If you have a higher clearance vehicle and are willing to drive, please come to the meeting location with a full tank of gas.

When: July 17, 2013 and/or August 11. 2013
We will meet in Boulder at 6 am at a location to be disclosed when you sign up. :) we should be back by 4 or 5 pm.

Suggested equipment: Plenty of water, lunch & snacks, sunscreen, rain gear, warm layers, waterproof boots, & poles (We might be crossing some snow fields here and there)

Fee: free for members, all others $22 per hike or (Late fee of + $5/hike, begins 7 days before before the hike)

Guides: Rabbi Jamie Korngold, and Jeanette Domber

Who Should Sign Up?
To come on this trip you must be in strong physical condition and able to hike at a sustained pace on an adventure which will last up to 8 hours. (If you are in "Boulder" shape, you'll be fine. This won't be as hard as a peak climb. But, for people that don't get out much, it would be hard. Call us if that doesn't make sense!)
You must be willing to work with a group. We are unable to accommodate dogs or children under 16.

Please do not show up at the trail head without advanced registration.
Participants must speak to Jeanette
or have been on hikes with us before to be eligible for this trip.
