20's/30's Dinners, Hikes, Discussions

Dear Friend,

This has been a month for kid's trips here at Adventure Rabbi.

This past weekend, we hiked for two snowy days in Rocky Mountain National Park with the B'nai Mitzvah class from Congregation B'nai Havurah.

Imagine this Shabbat: 13 twelve-year olds climbing Deer Mountain, complaining ("Do we have to go hiking?") eventually turning to singing, and after that, to cheers of triumph as we stood on the 10,003 foot summit. We linked arms and in a circle, shouted the Sh'ma from the peak.

Two weeks ago, we led a Shabbat hike for the youth group of Congregation Beth Evergreen. We made human knots (see photo below), prayed the Amidah with the trees, and enjoyed the last of the golden aspens.

The kids on Adventure Rabbi trips learn what it means to work together as a group, to push further than you thought you could go, and to connect with That Which Is Greater than yourself, in the wilderness.

Adventure Rabbi designs and leads trips for all age groups. To have me contact you about creating a trip for your group, click here.

Hope to see you on the trail!

L' Shalom,

Jamie

P. S.: Update on 20s/30s events: We don't check IDs, so if you're a little older and would like to come, please do.
